NORTHPORT, Ala. (WIAT) — A lockdown has been lifted at a Northport middle school following the discovery of an unloaded gun clip Tuesday morning.
According to Collins-Riverside Middle School officials, authorities detained the students in question and recovered the gun clip.
The school remained under lockdown until authorities completed their investigation. Terri Brewer with Tuscaloosa City Schools says parents were notified via automated call.
Authorities concluded no actual firearm was brought to school.
