Warming stations opening across Central Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Ahead of anticipated arctic temperatures, many cities around Central Alabama plan to open warming stations. In Birmingham, Boutwell Auditorium is open for those who need a warm place to rest.

The station will be open from Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 a.m.  Boutwell Auditorium is located at 1930 Reverend Abraham Woods Jr. Boulevard.

Donations of bottled water, warm socks and gloves, toiletry items, and blankets are welcome and can be dropped off at the auditorium at any time during normal business hours.Anniston

Talladega
