MACON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — After three long years, Victoryland is opening again. It will be back in business in Macon County on September 13.
Tuskegee mayor Johnny Ford tells us they’re ready for the 200+ jobs that come with the opening. 2,000 or more jobs are expected to follow.
Ford says the reopening signals the beginning of an economic revitalization.
Ford says he’s also called the U.S. Department of Justice and the Alabama Ethics Commission for assistance and reassurance that Victoryland will be left alone.
