Teddy Bear Ride to benefit Big Oak Ranch

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — A group of motorcycle riders are gearing-up to give back to teens and children in need this weekend.

The annual Teddy Bear Ride kicks off tomorrow. The Birmingham Hogs are hosting the event.

All proceeds will be donated to the Big Oak Ranch, an organization that takes in children who have been abandoned, or children whose parents have abandoned them.

“I’m most excited to see the kids’ faces when they see these big awesome beautiful bikes pull up with these guys who truly just love them and want what’s best for them, and are willing to give up their time and give up their resources to come and really make a difference in their life,” said Reagan Philips with Big Oak Ranch.

Registration starts Saturday morning at 9 at the Rider’s Harley Davidson in Trussville. The ride starts at noon. The Birmingham Hogs say the event will happen rain or shine.
