Sylacauga City Schools to allow mask mandate to expire

SYLACAUGA, Ala. (WIAT)– The mask policy for Sylacauga City Schools set to expire October 8. This is according to an update on the district’s Facebook page. School leaders will continue to encourage students and staff to wear a mask, but they will not enforce it. The district says if there is another rise in covid-19 cases the mask mandate could be reinstated.
