(WIAT) — Parents often keep tabs on what’s going on in their kids’ social media world, but a new study took a look at how they used it for parenting information.
The study said parents are most likely to use Facebook as 74 percent of people surveyed are users, and 25 percent are on Instagram.
Researchers said parents used social media to help their jobs and to connect with other parents for advice, social or emotional support.
Nearly one in three parents said they’ve posed parenting questions online within the past 30 days.
The study also found parents average 150 Facebook friends, but only consider one-third of those as “actual friends.”
