BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Sherman Industries is honoring an employee who was killed in a fight in the Bronx over the weekend. Sherman Industries placed a sticker on 40-year-old Troy Scott’s truck in remembrance of him.

Scott was killed while visiting family in the Bronx last Saturday morning. He started working at Sherman Industries back in August 2016.

CBS 42 spoke to one of his former co-workers, who says he was a hard worker and a great man.

Rod Larkins, who works dispatch for Sherman Industries, said “We have 40, 50 drivers. We wish we had 50 Troys. That would be, just the asset that he was to the company, I just want his family to know how much he was missed.”

Tuesday, 34-year-old Jimmy Rosario turned himself into the New York Police Department and has been charged with third-degree assault.
