Saturday fundraiser for BPD officer’s daughter injured in car crash

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — A fundraiser benefiting the injured daughter of a Birmingham police officer will be held Saturday. 

Chloe Beshears suffered brain trauma following a car crash on her way to school earlier this month. and is currently undergoing treatment at UAB hospital.

On Saturday, a Cruise-In for Chloe will be held at the Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church at 8090 Gadsden Highway in Trussville from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The following details are provided in the event’s Facebook page:

“Cruise-In for Chloe is a charity event car and bike show in Honor of Chloe Beshears and the Beshears family for their immediate and future needs.

Suggested donation per vehicle entry is $10. Donations will be collected through out the event and all proceeds will go directly to the Beshears family.

T-Shirts will be made upon request as well.

Chloe was involved in a serious car accident on her way to school in which she sustained severe brain trauma. She was life flighted to UAB where she has had 2 brain surgeries. Her family has been by her side the entire time.

We are pleading for prayers for her healing, and any donations that can be made for travel and medical expenses.

Her father, Steven Beshears, is a Birmingham police officer. This fundraiser is supported by the Birmingham Police department.”
