TALLADEGA, Ala. (WIAT) — On Saturday afternoon, a small passenger plane had to make an emergency landing on I-20 West near Talladega.
According to a statement from the FAA, the aircraft was a Cessna 172 that took off from Talladega Municipal Airport. The plane then made an emergency on I-20 West at mile marker 173 just after 4:20 p.m.
There were two people on board, but the FAA did not provide information on their status. This is an ongoing investigation.
