BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The 55-year-old man killed after being pinned in a machine at a Birmingham plant Wednesday night has been identified.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Bonnie Chancellor Jr., sustained injuries while attempting to correct a jammed paper machine at a business located at 123 Industrial Drive around 7 p.m.
Capt. Orlando Reynolds with the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service said the victim had been freed by the time medics arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The address is listed as belonging to Joe Piper Inc., a paperboard distributor company.
