The Charleston Animal Society has posted an update on Caitlyn, the dog who has stolen the hearts of many across the Lowcountry and across the country with her incredible story.
She’s featured as the “Best Survival Story of 2015” in the special double issue of People Magazine’s 2015 Pet Awards, Hero Pets section.
The article recognized Caitlyn with the following caption:
She’s a survivor! In May, Caitlyn was found wandering the streets of North Charleston, South Carolina, with her muzzle taped shut. After making her way through surgery and a challenging recovery process, she is back in full health and good spirits, spending her days enjoying her new forever home and helping other victims of animal abuse.
The Charleston Animal Society says they have an announcement coming on Wednesday about Caitlyn.
