(WIAT) — Dr. Tony Dowdy, principal of Pell City High School, says the school went on lockdown as a precautionary measure after the administration received threats of two students possibly bringing weapons to school.

The two students were identified ans searched, and no weapons were found. Principal Dowdy says there may be disciplinary actions against the students from the investigation.

The lockdown was lifted within 45 minutes, and all students and teachers are safe. We will continue updating this story as more information becomes available.
