Mountain Brook passes ordinance allowing earlier Sunday alcohol sales

MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. (WIAT) — The Mountain Brook City Council passed an ordinance allowing businesses and restaurants to start selling alcohol at 10 a.m. rather than 12 p.m. on Sundays.

The ordinance is effective immediately, meaning June 16 is the first day you can purchase alcohol earlier than noon. 

The new ordinance applies to on-premises consumption only.
