TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — A man is in jail without bond after assaulting his estranged wife, then barricading himself inside of his home.

On Sunday, September 15, the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Jack Warner Parkway on a domestic call.  Upon arrival, the victim informed officers that her estranged husband assaulted her on the previous night and he was inside of her residence, officials say.

Officers attempted to get the suspect, Dustin Blake Sealy, 32, of Fosters, AL, to open door but he refused. Shortly thereafter, the suspect opened the door and officers were able to grab him, and a brief struggle ensued.

Officers were able to get Sealy into custody, and he was transported to Northport Medical Center with minor cuts and abrasions.

Sealy was placed under arrest for charges of second-degree domestic violence by strangulation, third-degree domestic violence by assault and will be held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
