Large Sylacauga industrial fire captured on drone video

SYLACAUGA, ALa. (WIAT) — A fire broke out Thursday morning in the Marble City Pallets warehouse, the Slyacauga Fire Department says.

Interim Lt. Jarrod Cunningham says they were primary on the fire, Oak Grove volunteer fire, Hollins volunteer fire, and County Line volunteer fire departments assisted.

They got the fire under control after 6 a.m., after Sylacauga Fire’s Air Operations Division Commander Samuel Ogilvie captured video with his drone.

After the fire was under control, they did a controlled burn of the pallets and machinery in the plant that were still smoldering.
