Lakeland Community Hospital, once preparing to close, now hiring to continue operations

HALEYVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — Winston County’s only hospital, once on the verge of closing, has now announced that they are seeking to hire several new positions in the new year, according to a release.

Lakeland Community Hospital was slated to close in 2017, but had its life extended through at least March, and the City of Haleyville began negotiations to purchase the facility.

On their Facebook page, the hospital stated that they needed several positions filled to continue operation, specifically: 

• Admitting Registrar
• Dietary Cook/Food Service Workers 
• RN – Emergency Room 
• Housekeepers
• RNs – GeroPsych (day/night shifts)
• RN – Home Health
• RNs – ICU (day/night shifts)
• RN – Journey/Medical Detox 
• Patient Care Tech – Journey/Medical Detox
• RNs – Medical/Surgical (day/night shifts)
• RN – Charge/Supervisor
• Radiology Technologist (ARRT, MR, CT, Nuclear Medicine)
• Respiratory Therapist (night shift)
