Jeff Co. Coroner search for family members of woman found dead in home

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Authorities are trying to find family members of a woman who was found dead in her home. 

Around 4:20 p.m. on September 15, Patricia Renfroe Walker, 67, was found dead in her home by her long-time landlord and family friend in the 1100 block of Thomason Avenue. 

Coroner Bill Yates pronounced Walker dead at 4:26 p.m. It is believed to be of natural causes. Tarrant Police surveyed the neighborhood and police believe she has no family. Her brother, James Renfroe, died in May of 2018 and his wife, Wanda, died a year before in May of 2017. 

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office asks if anyone knows of any family related to Patricia Renfroe Walker, to contact the coroner’s office at (205) 930-3603.
