Inmates planned to bomb Walker County Courthouse

JASPER, Ala. (WIAT) — The Walker County Sheriff’s Office says it has stopped a possible terrorist attack.

The sheriff’s office says prison inmates Terry Hammond and Bryant Williams had planned to create several bombs and kill several Walker County officials.

The bombs would have been planted at the Walker County Courthouse and the sheriff’s office.

Hammond and Williams are being charged with four counts of making a terrorist threat.
