HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — Around Alabama this morning, CBS 42 has an update to a story that got a lot of attention. Remember David Green? He is the North Alabama high school football coach whose daughter is undergoing chemo. Since the story initially aired in Huntsville and Birmingham, Green has received 100 days of donated sick leave. This comes after he and his wife made a plea on Facebook fore sick day donations from other teachers to use to stay by his baby’s side while she is being treated in Birmingham.
Green only needed 40 days donated to him, yet teachers and administrators poured out sick day donations until he reached 100.
Now, Green will be able to take time off with his baby whenever his family needs him to.
