#HelpForTheHomeless: Helping the homeless in a unique way

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A storage pod has been set up in downtown Birmingham for people to donate to the homeless.

The organization is called #HelpForTheHomeless. The goal is to fill the entire pod by September 12th. Organizers and volunteers will be packing up the donations on September 11th. Every month there is a theme. This month, #HelpForTheHomeless is asking for hygiene products.

Here is a lists of items needed:

  • Toilet Paper
  • Tote Bags
  • Baby Wipes
  • Baby Powder
  • Tampons
  • Panty Liners
  • Maxi Pads
  • Feminine Wash
  • Feminine Itch Cream
  • Adult Diapers
  • Deodorant
  • Soap
