Fire contained at Tannehill State Park

MCCALLA, Ala. (WIAT) — Fire crews worked to put out flames at Tannehill State Park Wednesday. Fire officials said four acres burned.

The fire started around 8:45 a.m. Tannehill officials say it sparked in a remote area near Camp Jack Wright. The Alabama Forestry Commission says the fire was completely contained at noon. There were no evacuations.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
