BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — LifeSouth Community Blood Centers are hoping to avoid summer blood shortages by partnering with Crazy Bill’s Fireworks to host blood drives this week.
Blood donations are extremely valuable especially as the Fourth of July draws nearer and potential injuries become more likely.
There will be a handful of blood drives at Crazy Bill locations starting Tuesday.
June 25:
- 3062 Allison-Bonnet Memorial Drive, Bessemer, 2-7 p.m.
- 1104 1st Street S, Alabaster, 12-6 p.m.
June 26:
- 1422 Forestdale Blvd., Birmingham, 1-6 p.m.
- 2194 Center Point Pkwy, Birmingham, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
June 27:
- 5550 Chalkville Mountain Road, Trussville, 12-5 p.m.
- 1100 Center Point Pkwy, Birmingham, 1-7 p.m.
You must be at least 17 years of age, or 16 with parental permission, to donate. You must also be at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
