BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Sloss Real Estate announced Tuesday, Pepper Place as a designated Entertainment District.
Under Alabama law, marking the location an entertainment district allows participating businesses with alcohol licenses to sell alcohol to be consumed off-premises with the boundaries of the district and within its hours of operation.
With more than 350,000 square feet of former manufacturing facilities reimaging into a creative marketplace of inspired businesses, shops and restuarants, Pepper Place has grown into one of Birmingham’s well known districts.
Historically, entertainment districts have contributed to the economic development goals of their respective cities by providing economic growth and promoting urban development, Sloss Real Estate said in its release.
