(WIAT) — Shocking claims about what went on at Blue Bell are now surfacing.
This follows a deadly listeria outbreak, with the ice cream just returning to the shelves recently.
Now, former Blue Bell employees are claiming management ignored complaints about conditions at the company’s factory in Texas.
Ten people became sick and three of those people died.
The company subsequently recalled 8 million gallons of ice cream in April.
CBS sat down with former employees, who told them the factory had a number of violations including condensation dripping into the ice cream, dirty equipment and paint chipping from the ceiling directly above an ice cream mixer.
