Administrators at Hoover City Schools are excited about several new things. They have a new pre-K program that is tuition-free thanks to a statewide grant. The program took in 90 students this year who are spread out in five different locations.
They also opened a brand new school called Riverchase Career Connection Center, which has more than 700 students. At the RCCC, students can learn skills in health science, fire safety, culinary arts and several other skills.
At Riverchase Elementary School, principal Alice Turney said they are excited about welcoming in new and returning students.
