ALABAMA (WIAT) — If there is one thing I love about the fall, it’s football! With two little ones, it can definitely be a juggling act.
I have good news- both Auburn and Alabama are making big changes to ensure fun is had by all!
Starting at the Capstone, you may notice big inflatables and a strictly enforced alcohol-free zone. Well, this would be the new family-friendly tailgate located at the corner of Hackberry Lane and Campus Drive at Alabama.
There are also several food vendors and a large TV viewing area. The best thing is that it’s free and open each home game.
Just down the road on the plains, parents find plenty of things to keep their kids occupied and find it easy to enjoy the day and the game.
“We walked over to Toomer’s Corner this morning,” Judy Wilemon said. “Fixin’ to go eat some lunch, go back and tailgate for a little while. Great place for the kids- we’ve never had a bad experience at Auburn. It’s always fun and very family oriented.”
Auburn has also added a new nursing station at Gate 1 inside Jordan-Hare Stadium for moms of little babies. Just one more way to help support families on game day! There are also stroller drop off locations inside both Bryant-Denny and Jordan-Hare, which are free and monitored throughout the game.
