Alabaster City Schools Summer Feeding Program begins May 31

ALABASTER, Ala. (WIAT) — The Warrior Wheels Bus will be at ten different sites for the Alabaster City Schools Summer Feeding Program starting Tuesday, May 31 until Friday, July 29. Children 18 and younger eat for free and adults can be fed at the school locations, but not other sites. Breakfast is $2 and lunch is $4.

Below is the schedule for the feeding program. Dates and times are subject to change, so check the Alabaster City Schools website or call 205-663-8400 for updates.

Starting May 31:  Meadow View Elementary: 2800 Smokey Road, Alabaster, AL 35007. Breakfast served 7:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m. and lunch 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thompson Intermediate: 10019 Highway 119, Alabaster, AL 35007. Breakfast served 7:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m. and lunch 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. YMCA of Alabaster: 117 Plaza Circle, Alabaster, AL 35007. Lunch served 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and snack 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Evangel Church: 423 Thompson Road, Alabaster, AL 35007. Lunch served 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Abby Wooley Park: 720 Park Road, Alabaster, AL 35007. Lunch served from 12:15 p.m.- 1:15 p.m. Buck Creek Park: 701 6th Ave SW, Alabaster, AL 35007. Lunch served 12:10 p.m.-1:10 p.m. Alabaster FD Firehouse #1: 890 1st Ave W, Alabaster, AL 35007. Lunch served 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m.

Starting June 6: Kids First Awareness Community Center: 100 Mt. Olive (MLK, Jr.) Road #11B, Alabaster, AL 35007. Lunch served 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. and snack 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Episcopal Church of Alabaster: 858 Kent Dairy Road, Alabaster, AL 35007. Lunch served 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Liberty Baptist: 306 5th Ave SW, Alabaster, AL 35007. Lunch served 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
