BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) —  According to the Bessemer Fire Department, the fire took place on the 1100 block of Ninth Avenue Southwest. Firefighters responded to a call that went out at 1:50 a.m.

The structure that caught fire was an abandoned hotel and a night club. The fire was contained to two rooms on the first floor. Bessemer Fire Department were able to contain the fire in several minutes.

No one was injured. The fire is under investigation.
