2 arrested after road rage incident results in exchange of gunfire

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Two suspects were arrested after a road rage incident resulted in gunfire exchanged on Tuesday, the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit announced.

According to Capt. Gary Hood, 34-year-old Amy Spraberry shot into a vehicle occupied by 25-year-old Eric Brooks. Hood says the shooting happened after one driver cut the other off near the intersection of Brookwood Parkway and George Newell Rd. Words were exchanged, then both drivers fired shots. 

Spraberry and Brooks were taken into custody shortly afterwards. Spraberry is charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and Brooks is charged with reckless endangerment.
