DORA, Ala. (WIAT) — UPDATE: The Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a Bagley woman as the individual discovered by authorities after a house fire broke out Tuesday.
Christi Lynn Dyer, 47 of Bagley, was found unresponsive by fire personnel inside the residence near the front door.
The fire took place just after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the 7600 block of Robbins Place in Bagley.
The Alabama State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
ORIGINAL: Authorities have confirmed that one person was killed in a house fire in Dora Tuesday evening.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Bagley Fire Department are on scene investigating the fire.
No other information has been released at this time.
