BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Slice Pizza and Brewhouse will host the eighth annual edition of SliceFest on June 1. It is presented by Birmingham Budweiser.
Organizers say SliceFest is Birmingham’s largest food and music block party. It will take place outside of the Slice restaurant in Lakeview on 29th Street South from 2 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are available at www.slicefest.com.
Slicefest will again feature a lineup of local and regional jazz-inspired musicians including Yacht Rock Revue, Magic City Hippies, CBDB, the Stooges Brass Band and Bailey Ingles. You can enjoy a wide selection of food along with local craft beer.
SliceFest began in 2011 as a small block party designed to celebrate Slice Pizza & Brewhouse’s one-year anniversary. The event serves as a “thank you” to the Birmingham community for their support. Since then, the event has grown into a full-blown summer festival, drawing local, regional and nationally recognized artists to pair with plentiful craft beer and specialty pizza. The event has welcomed sellout crowds from around the Southeast in its seven-year history, all while giving back to local non-profit, the Suki Foundation.
