BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Fans are getting ready to fly out to California for Monday’s National Championship game.
If you’re thinking of going to California to cheer the Tide on, those arrangements will cost you.
As of Thursday morning, the cheapest game day tickets on Stub Hub were going for about $130.
American Airlines and United Airlines have added nonstop flights from Birmingham to San Francisco and San Jose.
At last check, a flight will cost you close to $2,000.
All Seasons Travel offered up some National Championship travel packages, which have already sold out.
“We’ve been sold out for about a week,” said Hope Maxwell with All Seasons Travel. “At this point, my recommendation is to, I guess, see if there are any hotels available even reach out to hotels that are about an hour and a half away at that point anything is better than nothing.”
Besides airfare, once fans arrive they should plan on spending money on hotel and airport transfers.
Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara is about 45 minutes from Oakland International Airport and about 40 minutes from San Francisco International Airport with no traffic.
