Jimmy Buffett concert expected to cause delays in evening traffic

News

PELHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Jimmy Buffett begins the Oak Mountain Amphitheater Summer Concert Series on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. Because of the show, heavy delays are expected on Highway 31 and Interstate 65 Southbound near Oak Mountain.

The amphitheater advises people heading to the concert to avoid State Park Road. The road connects Highway 119 to Amphitheater Road, and tends to get very congested, so people coming from Highway 31 and the interstate may want to find an alternate route to the amphitheater.

When it comes to parking, there is a free lot that can be accessed off of Cahaba Valley Road and Highway 119 from Interstate 65 or Highway 31. Amphitheater Road has several lots, but it is best to access that road from Highway 31.
