Hueytown High School on lockdown due to suspicious activity


HUEYTOWN, Ala. (WIAT) — UPDATE: Hueytown High School is ALL CLEAR.

We just received word that HHS is all clear and normal school schedule is resuming.

The following is a statement from Jefferson County Schools:

Hueytown High School is currently on secure perimeter in order to be precautious and proactive due to reports of a potential threat. Law enforcement with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is onsite

According to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief David Agee, it is confirmed that Hueytown Highschool is under lockdown because of suspicious activity in the area.
