BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (CBS) – UPDATE: A 2-year-old has been found dead in a hot van outside of daycare in Broward County, Florida.
According to authorities, it happened in Oakland Park. Oakland Park Fire Rescue confirms a 2-year-old was locked in a van.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office says it is working a death investigation at 3140 NW 21st Avenue. There is a white van parked outside of the Ceressa Learning and Activity Daycare Center. A yellow tarp is draped over one side of the van.
There is no word on how long the van with the child inside had been parked outside the daycare center. Authorities say the temperatures in the area reportedly reached 90 degrees.
Ceressa’s Day Care Center does have a valid license with the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies are investigating a death outside of an Oakland Park daycare center. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Oakland Park Fire and Rescue crews responded to the scene located on Northwest 21st Avenue, Monday afternoon.
