Homewood City Schools releases statement on A/C issues at Homewood High

HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) — The following was released by Homewood City Schools:

Homewood City Schools discovered that one of the four chillers at Homewood High School was not operating properly which caused the temperatures in part of the building to rise by a few degrees. Wednesday afternoon, we were able to pinpoint the problem and a plan is underway to obtain the parts necessary to get the chiller up and running as soon as possible. To compensate for the loss, Homewood’s maintenance staff has made adjustments to the other three chillers. We will continue to monitor the temperatures at HHS until the chiller is repaired. We are thankful to our faculty and staff for ensuring that the focus remains on teaching and learning each and every day.
