Hodges goes for two as Samford stars work out for NFL Scouts

HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) — Six Samford senior football players put their skills to the test in front of NFL Scouts on Thursday, as Samford hosted its annual pro-day.

Quarterback Devlin Hodges, as well as Wide Receiver Kelvin McKnight and Defensive Lineman Ahmad Gooden were among those players hoping their performance at pro-day would be enough to entice NFL teams to call their names during April’s NFL Draft.

For Hodges it was an especially long pro-day as earlier in the day, he threw to wide receivers during UAB’s pro day.  Another chance to show off the skills that made him the most prolific passer in FCS history.
