Only 2 ICU beds available in state, Alabama Hospital Association reports

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Alabama Hospital Association reports that there are only two open beds in Intensive Care Units across the state.

AHA media contact Jeannie Gaines confirmed the information to CBS 42 Monday afternoon.

Earlier on Monday, UAB Medicine reported that they currently have 169 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, though they did not specify how many patients occupied ICU beds.
