CBS 42 House Calls: Dr. Celeste discusses masks in schools and whether they are effective against COVID-19

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — CBS 42 wants to help you and your family stay healthy. Each week, our resident Dr. Celeste Reese-Willis joins us to talk about a timely health issue.

This week, Reese-Willis discussed certain school systems in Alabama that have ordered that masks be worn in the classroom, as well as their effectiveness.

“Well, I think that we can note that there’s a definite decrease in the number of cases of COVID-19,” Reese-Willis said. “That can be directly related to the start of children wearing masks in school.”
