BAY MINETTE, Ala. (WKRG) — Twenty-four hours after we first told you about the little goat wandering the streets of Bay Minette, things have changed for the little guy and for the better.

Already enjoying the beginning of a new life down on the farm.  The owner did show up and he did say he wanted to surrender the goat over, says animal control officer Rebecca Jernigan.  He could no longer take care of it anymore and that he could go up for adoption and that’s exactly what we did.

As to how he got out in the first place, the previous owner says he kept jumping the fence. Now, he seems more content to munch on a quick snack than plan a great escape.

Soon after the original story hit social media, the full-grown tiny goat becoming a full-fledged media darling.  Everyone, it seemed suddenly wanted a goat as a pet.  The goat has become very popular. He spread like wildfire on the internet.

Far away from city life, the little goat has a new home complete with lots of land to roam, even a little goat hill that he can now call his back yard.

“He found a wonderful home, says Jernigan.  “He’s got a lot of acres to run. He’s going to be very well taken care of.”
