TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Friends and family members are grieving the death of a Stillman College student, who was killed in a car accident.
Jordaneous Woolverton, 22, was killed Friday night on his way to Miami for spring break. Two others riding in the same car survived the accident. James Montgomery and the victim shared an apartment in Tuscaloosa.
“It is definitely sad but at the same time we know Jordan lived a good life and did great things. He was an awesome guy, funny and was on his way up. He was working hard and was about to graduate. I will miss him,” Montgomery said.
Many of the victims friends called Woolverton Jordan as a nickname. The gifted student and athlete grew up in Anniston, where he played high school football. Josiah Atkins is also mourning the loss of his friend.
“Just tell a person that your close too, tell them how much you care about them. Tell them that you love them because you never know the last time you get the chance to talk to them,” Atkins said.
Jordaneous Woolverton played football one year at Edward Waters College in Florida before he transferred to Stillman College to play. Funeral arrangements have not been set.
