False reports of shots fired near Centerpoint vs Mortimer Jordan football game delays play

KIMBERLY, Ala. (WIAT) — False reports of shots fired in a nearby neighborhood of the Centerpoint and Mortimer Jordan football game delayed play Friday night.

Players, coaches and fans all stopped play and dropped to the ground after the shots were heard.

Play has since resumed at the game. Deputies are on the scene and there have been no reports of injuries inside or outside the stadium.

No other information has been released at this time. Stay with CBS 42 as this is still an ongoing story.
