Birmingham, Ala.- The Alabama Symphony Orchestra is gearing up for the 2019 Maestro’s Ball.
The black and white tie event is hosted by Molly and John Carter. It will take place on Friday, September 6 at UAB’s Alys Stephens Center beginning at 6 p.m. The evening will feature a champagne reception and center, followed by a gourmet dinner prepared by Chris and Idie Hastings of Hastings Catering. The wine for the event will be generously provided by Susan and Tom Lowder of Holman Ranch, the Curtain Family and DuMOL.
Organizers say the ball is the ASO’s largest annual fundraising event. It promotes and raises support for ASO’s artistic, educational and community outreach program.
The ASO and Maestro Carlos Izcaray will take the audience on a musical journey to Paris, exploring the romance, drama and beauty of French music.
