BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Children’s of Alabama received a sweet treat from Dunkin Donuts today.

The coffee chain presented the hospital with a $5,000 grant along with “brave gowns.” The brave gowns are specially decorated gowns for the patients to wear. These gowns were designed by a patient at a hospital in the southeast region.

The hospital says the money will go to the physical therapy department.

Rhett Wheeler, director of the physical therapy department, said, “’It’s a huge gift for us, just a wonderful blessing to our department and the kids and families we serve.”

Dunkin Donuts raises money all year long to give back to communities they serve.
