BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The boy known all over the country as “Donut Boy” is making a stop in Alabama! A Florida native, 11-year-old Tyler Carach started in August of 2016 when he came across four deputies in his local donut shop and bought them some mini donuts with his allowance to thank them for their service.
The story went viral, and Tyler went on to found “I Donut Need a Reason to thank a Cop, Inc.“, a national campaign to travel around the country to thank law enforcement. Carach has since been to 41 states and delivered over 75,000 donuts.
Tomorrow, Carach will make his first stop in Alabama at the Hollywood Police Department.
That’s at 8:00 Thursday morning; he will be there until 10 a.m.
After that, Carach be at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to deliver his “thank you” donuts to them; that will be at 1:30 Thursday afternoon.
