Displaced dogs from Hurricane Michael fly from Bessemer to Nebraska

BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) —  Happening today, The Greater Birmingham Humane Society is expected to transport animals to Omaha, Nebraska.

  This is in an effort to help animals displaced during Hurricane Michael. Thirty-eight dogs and 20 cats will be flown out of Alabama at noon. 

The GBHS has partnered with Wings of Rescue, Greatergood.org, and other organizations to make this all possible.
