TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Police in Tuscaloosa have arrested a man who allegedly shot a woman at an apartment complex Tuesday morning.

Pasha Darget, 36, was taken into custody Tuesday morning following the shooting. He has been charged with attempted murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and breaking bond revocation.

According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Forrester Gardens Apartments on the 1300 block of James I Harrison Jr Parkway just before 7 a.m.

Authorities say a 40-year-old woman was transported to DCH Hospital and is still in serious condition. TPD says Darget had been in a previous relationship with the victim.

Darget had been out on bond at the time of the shooting for a November arrest on assault and domestic violence charges. Police say the victim in Tuesday’s shooting was assaulted as well as another family member in the incident last month.

He is now being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond.
