CENTER POINT, Ala. (WIAT) — On May 13, police took Takedra Vernay Booth, 17, into custody after detectives went to her home and confronted her and her mother with video evidence, according to a press release.
Booth was allegedly involved in a robbery on April 27 which resulted in Center Point Elementary going on lockdown as police searched for a suspect in a nearby parking lot of an apartment complex. Two workers at the complex told police that they had been robbed by a person with a bandanna on their face, and three other workers later reported a similar robbery, according to a police report.
Police have charged Booth as an adult, and she is currently awaiting trial on five counts of first degree robbery. She is in custody on a $110,000 bond.
