BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — Blount County deputies arrested a 19 year old for making a terroristic threat toward Appalachian School.
Dakota Estrada was taken into custody and transported to the Blount County Jail Friday for making the threat.
On Friday, The Blount County Sheriff’s Office had extra patrols on Straight Mountain around Appalachian School because of a threat that seemed not credible at the time, officials report. The street crimes unit received information from a source that the person who made the threat was at a location in the area.
Officials met with the suspect, Estrada, in the area and he admitted to investigators that he did make a specific threat toward the school.
Estrada remains in the Blount County Jail and has not been given a bond at this time.
