BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide after a shooting that injured multiple people Friday night.
According to public information officer Truman Fitzgerald, officers responded to calls of multiple people shot in the 900 block of 47th Street North at 10:08 p.m. They arrived at the scene and found an adult female and three adult males injured.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service arrived and transported the victims to a local hospital. The men were shot while the woman received unspecified injuries that were not caused by gunfire. Roshode Davidson, 36, of Birmingham was pronounced dead.
The preliminary investigation found that a birthday party was taking part in the area and a suspect approached the party group and began firing shots. BPD currently does not have the suspect in custody.
